Who we are

We are Chevening. We are Uganda. We are Connected.

Welcome to the Chevening Alumni Association of Uganda — one of the most vibrant alumni groups of the prestigious Chevening scholarships. Formed in 2019, the association brings together brilliant Ugandan minds that have benefited from the UK government’s premier international scholarships programme.

Leveraging on the world-class knowledge gained from revered British universities, members of the association come together to provide much needed leadership on finding solutions to some of the development challenges facing Uganda. From the climate crisis, to inclusive education, to youth skilling, the association implements projects that aim to transform Uganda.

We also organise public lectures, talks and other public engagements that bring together experts from different fields to discuss topical issues with the aim of providing solutions to some of the pressing needs facing Uganda.

The association also, in close collaboration with the British High Commission in Kampala, organises networking events that bring together alumni from different cohorts to reflect on their shared experience of living and studying in the UK, and discuss their role in transforming the Uganda of tomorrow.
