Uganda is prone to climate disasters. Our rural and urban communities are experiencing climate change effects including prolonged drought, landslides, floods, mudslides among others. We are committed to protecting our planet, and reducing the impact of climate change. We are building greener, healthier, resilient communities. We believe that protecting the environment is not only about preserving nature—it is about protecting lives, and strengthening food security.

Our work includes planting and restoring trees and forests, promoting sustainable and climate-smart farming, supporting environmental education and community awareness, encouraging sustainable waste management, and mobilizing communities to take practical action against climate change. To achieve this, we are working with schools, students, community leaders, farmers, and vulnerable communities to promote environmental stewardship and strengthen local capacity to respond to climate-related challenges.

We are implementing initiatives, like the Kampala Youths ABCs for Waste and Climate Action, 1 million Tree Challenge, and Students 4 the Environment, designed to turn awareness into action by empowering people—especially young people—to become champions of environmental protection. We do this because every tree planted, every landscape restored, every waste management practice improved, and every person inspired to act brings us closer to a safer and more sustainable future. Our ultimate goal is to build a culture of environmental responsibility and inspire collective action to ensure that communities and ecosystems can thrive today and for generations to come.
